The removal of unsightly graffiti on the sides of railway bridges spanning major roads in the North West is to be handed over to National Highways, to speed up the job. The Government says it does not make sense for Network Rail to have to close routes for the work when the roads body can do it more easily during its own regular maintenance programmes.
