Two former BR Scottish Region pioneers - the first-built BRCW Class 26 and Class 27 - will be reunited at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Mixed Traffic Gala over the weekend of September 10-12. Sulzer-engined first-build 26007 (D5300) will be joined by 27001 (D5347), which has been brought in by road from the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway. It is believed to be the first time they have run together in preservation. Other diesels from the home fleet will also be in use.
