One of the worst ever cases of criminal damage on railway property in London and the South East, costing £110,000 to clean up, may have come to an end with British Transport Police's arrest of a 30-year-old man. He has been apprehended on suspicion of 46 attacks on railway property, much of it graffiti at stations and depots, following raids on two addresses on June 16. The crimes, which were committed between last September and June, were investigated by officers from BTP's dedicated specialist search unit and graffiti team. The man, from Lewisham, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and class B drugs. He was released on bail pending further investigation.
