After nearly a month, Gospel Oak to Barking route reopens

The Gospel Oak-Barking route reopened fully on February 19, following almost a month's closure. The line has been shut since a DB Cargo UK freight train derailed between Leyton Midland Road and Walthamstow Queens Road on January 23 (RAIL 898), with London Overground forced to run a shuttle between Gospel Oak and South Tottenham, and freight diverted via the Great Eastern Main Line.
