ECOTRACK: Functionalities and experiences with trial implementation of the ECOTRACK system on the NS network

摘要

The aim of this paper was to demonstrate the capabilities of ECOTRACK for analysing track condition and providing consequent decision support regarding track M&R optimisation. In this paper we have set out and discussed various steps, problems and solutions using a case study on the Dutch Railway Network, RIB. On the basis of the same case study, the versatility of the ECOTRACK functionalities and the logic that lies behind the decision-making process have been described. Additionally the paper has provided an overview of ECOTRACK implementation and use on various railways and contractors.
