Franchised TOCs and open-access operator Wrexham & Shropshire have formally objected to the application from Arriva Trains Wales to operate two daily return services between Aberyswyth and London Marylebone (RB1351 p4), reports Tony Miles. Most vociferous is DB Regio UK which has threatened to withdraw funding for open-access services between Wrexham and London and to reconsider the Evergreen 3 investment programme at Chiltern Railways.
