National Express Group plc has revealed that £34m of the £40m in funding committed to its East Coast franchise had been spent as of September 30 (right). With the figure standing at £17.5m on July 1, this gives a burn rate of £1.27m/week.rnThis compares with the £47.8m in revenue support received by First Great Western in 2008-09 under DfT's cap and collar regime.
