Control of signalling on the Birmingham Snow Hill - Stratford-upon-Avon route is due to transfer to the West Midlands Signalling Control Centre in Saltley on November 1, following a series of blockades this week. Buses replace trains between Shirley and Stratford from October 25 to 29, and between Snow Hill and Stratford on October 30 to 31. The resignalling programme has involved the closure and demolition of three manual signalboxes at ShiTley, Henley and Bearley. The junction at BeaTley is also being redesigned and the track layouts at Henley-in-Arden and Shirley are being improved.
