Manchester fears DfT's empty promises

Greater Manchester Integrated Transport Authority has publicly welcomed the government's re-affirmation of its commitment to provide an additional 1300 vehicles by 2014 (p6), writes Tony Miles. But local politicians remain concerned that this could be an empty promise with little Teal improvement in prospect for passengers in the northwest.
