Eurotunnel to install GSM-R

Eurotunnel announced on December 15 that it had awarded Alcatel-Lucent a contract to renew its entire telecommunications network covering the Folkestone and Coquelles terminal sites as well as the Channel Tunnel itself. By 2012, all voice and data communications will be converted to GSM-R, an essential element of ERTMS.
