The Class 707 Siemens Desiro City EMU is expected to enter passenger service with South West Trains in April on the TOC's Windsor Lines. Following the start of deliveries to Clapham Junction last month, 'final testing' with two five-car trainsets was due begin early in 2017. Full deployment of the 150 Class 707 EMU cars is scheduled to be completed by November. Equipped with wi-fi, full-width gangways, 'a modern climate control system' and a passenger information system updated in real time, the new trains will enable rolling stock to be cascaded to otheT SWT services, 'increasing capacity across the route'.
