The October 2007 TT' item "50 years - LC oscillators to DDS" included a brief mention of the early work of Colin Horrabin, G3SBI on DDS (direct digital synthesis) during 1986, before the first (CMOS) DDS chips became available in the mid-1990s. Because I wanted to include details of RZ4HK's novel TLT (transmission line transformer) mixer, I omitted to expand on G3SBI's work which was initiated as a result of reading early professional papers on the concept of DDS.
