ISO RELEASES NEW TOY SAFETY STANDARDS

Two new standards related to reducing the risk of children being injured by unsafe toys, playground equipment or dangerous substances have been approved by the international Organization for Standardization (ISO).rnThe standards are additions to the ISO 8124 Safety of toys series of standards. Part 3: Migration of certain elements spells out the maximum acceptable levels of dangerous substances such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury and other materials possibly found in toys.
