Quality: A Profession To Stay In

Most of our readers agree that the quality profession is a good field to enter. If you stick with it, though, it only gets better, at least as far as compensation is concerned.To see this in a nutshell, compare Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 shows the modest increases that come with staying in the same position. For U.S. respondents, there's a considerable bump as you go beyond 10 years in the same job. But as Figure 2 shows, the real benefits come not from sticking to the same position, but from staying in the quality field.
