Lee & Man to expand sanitary paper business

Chinese papermaker Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing has plans to intensify its activities in the sanitary paper market. Following its entry into the tissue market last year, the company wants to expand this segment in 2015. In June, Lee & Man will launch its brand of pocket tissue in the market. The company is exploring opportunities to produce diapers and female sanitary products, Lee & Man says in its 2014 annual report. Last November, the paper and board manufacturer acquired a company called Guang Kai, which owns Chongqing Lee & Man Tissue Manufacturing.The company operates two production lines with a total capacity of 30,000 tpy of tissue. Lee & Man Paper is currently building its first PM for sanitary paper at the Chongqing mill in Yong-chuan City. Capacity of the PM will reportedly amount to 60,000 tpy.
