Rise of online sparks fears of shed crunch

The UK is in danger of running out of the logistics space needed to accommodate the growing ecommerce sector, an industry report has warned. The report, produced by law firm Addleshaw Goddard with contributions from industrial investors and developers including Tritax, L&G, P3 and Prologis, forecast that 18m sq ft of logistics space would have to be built annually to keep pace with the rise of online retail.
