Inaugural Coventry auction raises £1.9m for SDL Bigwood

SDL Bigwood raised £1.9m at its first auction in Coventry, as all but four of the 33 lots on offer were sold. The sale, the largest auction ever held in the city, racked up a sale rate of 88% and raised £1,893,500 in what auctioneers described as a "packed" auction room (pictured). Every lot based in the city itself was sold, including a residential investment property in the Earlsdon area comprising seven apartments, which had the potential to produce up to £29,400 a year in rent.
