Squatters have repeatedly grabbed the headlines in recent months. In particular, the press has been logging the exploits of the Occupy London protest movement: its unsuccessful London Stock Exchange occupation; the St Paul's Cathedral camp, from which the protestors have now been evicted following a failed appeal last month; and other brief City of London occupations at Berkeley Homes' Roman House site, the UBS building in Sun Street and the former Rafidian Bank in Leadenhall Street.
