Ludgate

Ludgate was particularly impressed at this year's April Fool's Day efforts by various property folk and retailers. The wonderfully ugly multi-million pound "Slice of Bread" tower was put forward by British Land as an addition to the City's skyline (pictured right), while Argos announced the launch of a digital "crystal ball" to determine what a customer would buy before they knew it themselves. Ed's Easy Diner, meanwhile, revealed it would be opening a franchise near the North Pole serving a "chilly" cheese dog, "brisk"et burger, "cold" slaw, "just outta the igloo" breakfast and ice-cream floats.
