Glatman's Abstract to spec NAMA East Croydon site

A prominent 1.13 acre site next to East Croydon station has been sold by NAMA (Ireland's National Asset Management Agency), amid plans to speculatively develop a 100,000 sq ft office scheme there (pictured). Mark Clatman's Abstract Securities has agreed to buy 9-16 Dingwall Road, opposite the huge Ruskin Square scheme, from LPA (Law of Property Act) receivers at Capita Symonds. A vehicle called Abstract (Croydon) exchanged contracts to buy the site this week for around £3m, and will offer rents of £22/sq ft at the development, in a bid to undercut prices elsewhere in the area. The site was previously owned by Anglo Irish Bank-backed Amir Zarbafi.
