Furniture and homeware retailer The Range (pictured below) has selected a site for its 750,000 sq ft southern distribution centre. The company, led by retail entrepreneur Chris Dawson, is in advanced talks to acquire a site in Chippenham, Wiltshire, to house its south of England "megashed" as it continues its growth in the discount retail sector. The Range is in the middle of a nationwide expansion and is enlarging its distribution footprint to accommodate new stores. The retailer had been looking for a suitable location for its southern operations since October 2012.
