Grading for structural timber

摘要

This paper describes the current state of play in the production and quality control of stress-graded lumber, a material intended for structural engineering purposes. Examples from European, Australian and American Standards are used to illustrate these concepts. Some of the current issues and future possibilities, such as those related to product definition, utilization efficiency and international trade are also covered.
