摘要

Waste resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL) dip solid, collected from the suction chamber of a typical tyre industry dip unit, was characterised by specific gravity, ash content, solvent extractables, pH, moisture content, TGA, FTIR, DSC, elemental analysis and metals content by AAS in comparison with fresh RFL dip solid. The effects of the waste RFL material, with or without hot water or dilute acid treatment, on the properties of a styrene-butadiene-styrene based compound in both gum and filled state were investigated by rheometry, mechanical testing and DSC, and the results are discussed. 25 refs.
