INTERPRETATION AND MODELLING OF THE PEDIRKA BASIN (CENTRAL AUSTRALIA) USING MAGNETICS,GRAVITY, WELL LOG AND SEISMIC DATA

The Pedirka Basin straddles right centrally on the Northern Territory South Australian border. The area includes a vertical stacking of sedimentary basins and together they form the Eromanga-Simpson-Pedirka-Warburton basin sequence. Hydrocarbon exploration in the Pedirka region began in the late 1950s, though with intermittent programs, and the area has been outshone by greater success in the nearby Cooper Basin. Seismic interpretation has been almost the primary source to delineate the Pedirka subsurfaces.
