U.S. Nuclear Power Survival

Nuclear power in the U.S. is facing unprecedented economic challenges at the same time regulatory burdens on the industry continue to increase, as highlighted by looming Fukushima modifications. Early hopes that relief would eventually come from rising gas prices have faded. Environmental regulations (real and proposed) have only managed to dampen the coal power business with no perceptible detriment to natural gas.
