Your latest op-ed piece, "The Integrated Grid," is a good one. Perhaps some of the old line utilities will wake up and shed their vision of big centralized power plants, and look to all the other options out there. The one option that I think you passed over that could disrupt the old models more than anything is reduced power consumption on a per capita basis; more efficient use of power if you will. Should this occur, as I hope it will, older more inefficient power plants will be shut down. This is no loss. They should have gone away years ago. Nearly every other developed country in the world uses roughly half the power we do, on a per capita basis. By itself, this makes them more competitive.
