Maersk Delta expansion accelerated

The Maersk Delta Terminal is to accelerate its expansion at Rotterdam's Maasvlakte. It had previously been decided to start the second phase of development (20 hectares, three post-Panamax cranes) immediately after the first. It has now been announced that the third phase (16 hectares and four cranes) is to be included as well. By the end of 2002, the terminal - covering a total of 70 hectares - should have a capacity of 2.5mTEU.
