Am I the only one who sees the irony in "planting" a forest of machines to filter carbon dioxide from the atmosphere ["Now You CO_2, Now You Don't," August], replacing what a forest of trees used to do for us? Wouldn't it be better to take funding for this outlandish solution and put it to use in a tree-growth process? I don't consider myself a tree hugger, but I don't see how we can do better than nature.
