PJM West Hub on-peak down $2.50 on lower power demand forecast

Mid-Atlantic and Midcontinent power dailies continued to fall Wednesday on lower power demand projections from mild weather expectations, as on-peak weekend packages were at a premium to the dailies on higher projected demand. In the PJM Interconnection’s footprint, PJM West Hub on-peak dayahead dropped $2.50 to trade in the low $30s/MWh for Thursday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange, as off-peak fell $1.75 to the low $20s/MWh. At a premium to the daily, on-peak weekend was in the low $30s/MWh.
