ERCOT bal-day prices fall on lower demand

Balance-of-the-day power prices in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas were much weaker Friday, after shooting up to the triple-digit zone Thursday, as projected record demand on Thursday turned out to be lower. ERCOT North Hub bal-day on-peak package traded in the high $30s/MWh on the Intercontinental Exchange, compared to Thursday's settlement at about $140/MWh.
