RGGI V20 rises 6 cents from previous week

The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative V20 December strip was assessed up 6 cents on the week at $5.96/mt in the S&P Global Platts weekly carbon assessments. Trading on the Intercontinental Exchange was heavier than the previous week, with many deals done on ICE just below the assessment at $5.95/mt. Last week, trades were lower, near $5.91/mt. The California CC3 offset remained flat for another week, assessed at $13/mt. CCA Vintage 20 for December 2020 delivery was assessed at $16.99/mt, on par with many ICE deals done at this level. The assessment rose just 1 cent after last week’s 5-cent fall. Trading on the Intercontinental Exchange ranged from $16.77/mt to $17.04/mt, rising steadily over the past seven days. The daily ICE settlements sat in a similar range.
