Mid-Atlantic and Midcontinent day-ahead power prices weakenedThursday on lower demand expectations.In the PJM Interconnection, NI Hub on-peak day-ahead fell $3.25 tothe mid-$30s/MWh for Friday delivery on the IntercontinentalExchange.AD Hub on-peak day-ahead dropped $2.50 into the upper $30s/MWh.PJM West Hub on-peak day-ahead lost 75 cents to trade in theupper $30s/MWh, while off-peak was unchanged in the low $20s/MWh.PJM forecast peakload would fall 3.7% to around 133,175 MW onFriday from 138,250 MW Thursday.High temperatures across the PJM footprint are expected to be inthe low 80s to low 90s for Friday, as much as 6 degrees above normal,according to CustomWeather.In the Midcontinent Independent System Operator markets, IndianaHub on-peak day-ahead fell $2.25 to the upper $30s/MWh for Fridaydelivery on ICE.
