Mid-Atlantic spot prices and demand climb together

Strong demand helped boost Mid-Atlantic spot power prices, while Midwest prices are steady with easing loads. PJM West Hub on-peak rose more than $4 to the low $40s/MWh for Thursday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange. PJM West Hub on-peak balance-of-the-week packages were in the upper $30s/MWh, while on-peak next-week were in mid- to upper $30s/MWh.
