The governor of California signed a bill Friday that creates oversightprocesses for the state’s investor–owned utilities, recasts recoverycosts from wildfire damages to third parties and authorizes thecreation of a joint utility and ratepayer funded wildfire fund to addressfuture wildfire liabilities.
