William Magwood, director general of the Nuclear Energy Agency and a former US NRC commissioner, said April 30 that he is "very confident that the reduction of inspectors" onsite at nuclear power plants internationally caused by the coronavirus pandemic has "not led to any decreased risk" to nuclear safety.
