PJM power prices stepped up on Tuesday as demand is forecast totrend upwards.PJM West Hub on-peak day-ahead rose day on day, trading on theIntercontinental Exchange in the low $20s/MWh, above Monday’ssettled price of $19.80/MWh.AD Hub on-peak day-ahead did not see much activity on ICE, butwas still valued in the mid $20s/MWh, a few dollars above theprevious day.Power demand in the PJM region is expected to increase, liftingregional pricing. According to regional transmission organization data,PJM total demand is projected to rise from 98,800 MW Tuesday to101,500 MW Wednesday. Much of this rise in demand stems from thePJM Western region, which gains about 1,000 MW day on day.
