Southeast, East Texas spot gas prices continue to strengthen on cold weather

Cash prices for next-day flows of natural gas in Southeast and EastTexas were trading up Wednesday for a second consecutive day, ascolder-than-normal temperatures persisted in the two regions.In East Texas, spot gas prices settled higher across the board.Houston Ship Channel settled 5 cents higher at $2.15/MMBtu in asecond consecutive day of gains, while the location’s basis to cashHenry Hub widened to an 11-cent discount. Katy Hub settled up 4.5cents at $2.16/MMBtu. After trading lower in the morning tradingsession on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), TETCO East Texassettled 0.50 cent higher at $2.07/MMBtu.
