Delta, EDF sign nuclear accord

Delta and EDF have agreed to collaborate on development of a second nuclear power plant at Borssele in the Netherlands, the Dutch and French utilities said in a November 3 joint statement.rnThe signing of a Memorandum of Understanding "commences a new phase in a long term process to establish a proper framework that could ultimately lead to a joint development of a nuclear power plant in Borssele," the two said.rnDelta and EDF would look at the "appropriate contractual structure to incorporate a Joint Development Company which may be established at a later stage for the development of the project."
