Vortex Orders Vestas Turbines

Danish wind turbine supplier Vestas announced February 27 that it had received orders from German wind project developer Vortex Energy Group for 33 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 82 MW for two wind parks in northern Poland. Vortex Energy Group is developing the projects on behalf of the owner-operator, Denmark's ScanEnergy.rnVestas will supply 17 of its V90-2-MW wind turbine for the Dobrzyn project, which is being developed in the province of Kujawsko-Pomorskie in the Lipnowski region and 16, V90-3-MW turbines for the Wronki project located in the province of Warminsko-Mazurskie in the region of Goldapski. Both contracts entail supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, as well as VestasOnlineTM Business SCADA solution, and include a five-year service contract. Vestas said that the contracts call for the delivery of the wind turbines for both projects by the end of 2008/early 2009, with commissioning of the two parksrnexpected during the second quarter of 2009.
