Novatek Q2 production slows

Russian independent gas producer Novatek produced 7.67 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the second quarter of 2009, up 2.2% year on year, the company said in a preliminary production report issued July 8. Novatek's production growth has slowed down in the second quarter, after showing a 7.5% year on year growth in the first quarter. For the first half 2009, Novatek's gas output totalled 15.93 Bern, up 4.9% from the year-earlier period.
