Lukoil targets output growth of 50% by 2021

Russia's second biggest oil producer Lukoil in March revealed details of an ambitious ten-year strategy that would see the company's hydrocarbons output grow steadily at a rate of "at least 3.5%" annually until 2021. Under the plan, oil and gas output would rise by about 50% from the 2011 level to 1.17 billion barrels of oil equivalent/year, which equates to 3.21 million boe/d. Around 40% of this output growth is to come from new projects.
