NIS discovers new gas in Vojvodina

Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), Serbia's vertically-integrated oil and gas group, announced May 22 the discovery of new gas reserves in the northern province of Vojvodina using its new drilling technology. NIS, which is majority-owned by Russia's Gazprom Neft, said in a statement that new small reserves had been discovered through the use for the first time in Serbia of its own "slim hole" drilling technology.
