Illinois Commerce Commission identifies winning bidders in Ameren energy purchase

Constellation Energy Commodities Group and Ameren Energy Marketing were selected last week to supply a portion of energy to be delivered to residential and commercial customers of Ameren Illinois on a one-year basis starting June 1. The Illinois Commerce Commission on March 19 approved the power supply agreements that run through May 31, 2009. State regulators approved deals for the supply of about 10% of the expected customer load for delivery to Ameren's three downstate Illinois utilities — AmerenIP, AmerenCIPS and AmerenCILCO.
