Reliability is anomer key advantage of ultrasonic flow meters. Because they have no moving parts, ultrasonic flow meters require less maintenance than some other meters such as turbine meters. While orifice plate meters do not have moving parts, the orifice plate is subject to wear, and needs to be checked peri odi cally.
