Limping industry gets up... and runs!

After a dismal four years, the paper industry threw a pricing and profits party in 1994, and everybody came. If AF&PA's recent Paper Week is any indication, 1995 is offering more of the same. Optimism was in the air as members of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) met for "Paper Week" in New York City this past March. With pricing, profits and exports all up dramatically in 1994, the outlook for the industry was strikingly positive following four years of economic pain.
