Physica status solidi is devoted to the thorough peer review and the rapid publication of new and important results in all fields of solid state physics and materials science, from basic science to applications and devices.rnphysica status solidi (a) and (b) publish original articles and reviews which are of general interest for the solid state physics and materials research community.rnphysica status solidi (a) - applications and materiais sci-rnence covers the preparation, structure and simulation of advanced materials, nanostructures, surfaces and interfaces, as well as properties of such materials and structures relevant for device applications (magnetic, electromechanical, or electronic devices, photonics, spintronics, sensors, etc.).
