The book International Political Psychology ambitiously aims to contribute to the honorable goal of furthering science; it focuses on our understanding of peace and conflict and provides guidelines to achieve the former. As a scholar in the field of international relations, Beyer draws on the habit of aiming at interdisciplinarity within her subject of study and argues that scholarship in international relations can learn a lot from the wide field of psychology. Leaving abundant room for further researchers to tie into the topic and aiming to establish a new line of research, the book draws from a wide spectrum of established theoretical concepts within both academic disciplines.
