Automation of Fabric Finishing Plant

This textile plant is involved in finishing the fabric from grey fabrics. When the fabric moves from machine to machine, they faced problems in tracking the exact location of the fabric and sometimes there was a complaint of missing fabric. Further at the time of inspection of the finished fabric piece, operators mentioned the faults in the log book manually and after that the log book was being delivered to computer operator and he entered the fault in a computer. Once all this process is complete the operator generated a unique bar code. But there was always a chance that he could stick the bar code on some other roll. Also there were chances that the faults were being mentioned in other rolls since the working system was manual.
