Nanostructures in aqueous dispersions for surface sizing

A new surface size composition was made, A mixture of conventional an-ionic surfactant (S) and an anianic amphiphillc polymeric surfactant (P) was used in the emulsion copolymeri-zation reaction. When examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy FESEM-Cryo technique, the copolymer showed a very small particle size (ca. 30 nm). The structure of the copolymer dispersion and blends of the copolymer with starch solution were studied by SEM and AFH.
