The forest industry's globalisation continues and pulp and paper production capacity is increasingly being established in emerging markets where economic and paper consumption growth rates provide a firm basis for the industry's investment decisions. So far, the focus has been on China, Southeast Asia and South America but Russia is becoming an increasingly important player.
